PRODUCTION TEAM:
Simone Goldsmith (Producer / Editor / Camera Assistant)
Having had her byline published more than a dozen times in Hong-Kong based luxury well-being, health and travel Asia Spa magazine, Simone’s involvement in the media industry is not nearly restricted to film. While studying Communications at Temple University Tokyo (Japan), Simone has produced, directed and filmed a short documentary called "Road Rage in Shimokitazawa" and has worked on the post-production of Global Lives' Lebanon and Japan shoots.
Nobuhiro Awata (Senior Camera Operator / Director / Photographer)
Nobuhiro is an experienced video producer and director, photographer and audio technician. Born and raised in Japan, Nobuhiro lived in New York City for five years to study sound engineering and now is living in Taipei where he is studying for a degree in Computer Science. Nobuhiro was co-Producer of the Global Lives Japan shoot in 2007 and a camera operator and still photographer for the Global Lives China shoot in 2008. http://fotologue.jp/knob63
Ruchika Muchhala (Senior Camera Operator / Director)
Ruchika is a documentary filmmaker based in Mumbai and Singapore. She has worked as a freelancer on documentary films such as "Born into Brothels" and on Discovery Channel commissioned documentary projects such as "The Voyages of Zheng He" in Singapore. She has also spent 2 years as the producer and editor for the online media guide run by RealNetworks Asia Pacific, and 1 year as the Online marketing and Ad-sales representative for RealNetworks in Mumbai. Ruchika currently runs her own company, Third Kulture Films. She is currently producing/co-directing a feature documentary film on artists behind the scenes of the Bollywood film industry and another television commissioned documentary about arranged marriages in modern India. www.thirdkulture.net
Asel Orumbayeva (Local Production Assistant / Interpreter)
After graduating from Kyrgyz National University in 2007, Asel moved to Almaty to work as a sales manager in the finance industry. Fluent in Kazakh, Russian and English, Asel later moved to Taraz to be receptionist at the Affiliate of American charitable company Interlink Resources Ink.

Lindee Hoshikawa (Sound Technician / Post-Production Assistant)
Lindee currently studies film and media arts at Temple University, Japan campus. Before deciding to go back to school to finish her degree, she had been working as musician, audio engineer and lighting technician in the Seattle and St Louis areas. Lindee has always been around video production equipment, as her father had once been a camera man and independent video producer. Since moving to Tokyo, Lindee has enjoyed working as composer, ADR engineer, production assistant, and editor, on a number of short films and projects. Lindee enjoys meeting fellow artists and technicians through working on such productions, and is delighted to be a part of the Global Lives Project. In the future, Lindee hopes to explore the art photography and cinematography, while always working to keep her music alive.
