Long Now Foundation partners for installation launch
We are proud to announce that the Long Now Foundation will be joining with us to co-produce and partially fund the launch of the 10-screen Global Lives installation in San Francisco in late 2009 or early 2010. Founded by the likes of Brian Eno and Stewart Brand, the Foundation's Clock of the Long Now was recently featured on CBS Sunday Morning. Their Rosetta Project is an ambitious archive of all human languages. We are currently seeking additional funders and a venue for the launch.

Our interns are Ning Ma, David Berrios and Tram Pham from University of California, Berkeley and Lindee Lindee Hoshikawa and Simone Goldsmith at Temple University in Tokyo, Japan.
San Francisco International Film Festival From April 23 to May 7, the San Francisco International Film Festival will screen more than 150 films from around the world. GLP interns & volunteers in the Bay will be attending screenings together–get in touch if you want to join us.
Donate to the Global Lives Project
Donations from individuals consitute nearly half of the funds that we've raised to date and we continue to need them to survive. As an organization with no full-time staff, and an onslaught of hundreds of volunteers from dozens of countries wanting to get involved, we need funds now more than ever to build up our organizational capacity and infrastructure. We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit and US donations are tax deductible to the full extent permitted by law. Donate now>>
