Malawi Crew
Jason J. Price, Producer/Director/Post-Production Supervisor/Camera/Editor
Jason works in anthropology and documentary video. Originally from Nutley, New Jersey, he received his BA from Middlebury College, then served in Peace Corps Malawi and AmeriCorps in Chicago. He holds an MA in sociocultural anthropology and an Advanced Certificate in Culture & Media from New York University. His film, The Professor, is distributed by DER and has screened at festivals worldwide. He sits on the Board of Directors of Friends of Malawi and the Global Lives Project, and is currently a doctoral student in sociocultural anthropology at the University of California, Berkeley.
Ya-Hsuan Huang, Assistant Director/Camera/Editor
Ya-Hsuan is a documentary producer, video editor, and graphic designer based in Berkeley, California. She was an associate producer for the documentary feature, Out of Status. Her short film, Through the Negev, has screened at festivals around the world. Ya-Hsuan has taught video production at WITNESS's Video Advocacy Institute and was the lead instructor of The Video Lab, an after-school video program in New York City. Her design clients include Goldman Sachs, Blue Ridge Foundation New York (where she served as Director of Special Projects) and Gotham Gazette (where she was the Web Producer). Ya-Hsuan holds a BA in Art History from Yale University and an MA in Media Studies from The New School University. She is also the Producer & Director of Global Lives China.

Harrison is completing a double major in film and anthropology at New York University. His has made over a dozen short films, documentaries, and television shows produced independently and for NYU. He most recent project is with TOSTAN, a Senegal based NGO, to create a video advocacy campaign to inform the international human rights community about the condition of the Talibes in Senegal.

Jessie is completing a major in film with a concentration in anthropology and social justice at New York University. Her resume includes a dozen short films and documentaries produced at NYU. Jessie aspires to use documentary film as a tool for resistance and a means for social change.
Elasto Chanza, Translation/Production Assistant
Elasto received his Malawi Secondary Examination Certificate in 2006 and hopes to study Business Administartion at the University of Malawi. He worked as translator and production assistant for Mr. Price on two documentary projects: the forthcoming documentary short Zomba Central Market and a short production about Zomba Mental Hospital.

Originally from TA Mulemia, Single received his Malawi Secondary Examination Certificate in 2003 and works at Tasty Bites restaraunt in downtown Zomba.
